Georgia’s got looks that stopped traffic.
Eastbound Interstate 16 to be exact. She created commotion in Savannah, Georgia, causing ramp closures and two-hour traffic delays. She’d been on the loose for months – and she was hungry, tired, and in a STATE OF PANIC. It was a recipe for disaster as cars whizzed by at 70 MPH.
Worse, the police couldn’t catch her. It took multiple agencies to corral her and get her to safety. Despite giving them the runaround, Savannah PD was charmed by her wily ways and named her LEOna – a play on Law Enforcement Officer.
From the get-go, people start tagging me on social. It happens every time. Everyone wanted this one-year-old heifer to LIVE, make it to somewhere she’d have friends, get proper care for a lifetime…in their words “cow heaven.”
After no one claimed her, I got the green light. I jumped in my truck and took the two-day drive down to Savannah. In honor of her roots, I renamed her Georgia.
